This happens too often. They always want something made with 100% wool or alpaca, too, which isn’t cheap. Good friends will supply the yarn.
Bolded because it’s all too true. If you want something and don’t know anything about yarn, come with me to a yarn store and look at the weights and colors and then the prices. Then what I charge for the production is often nothing.
Although generally, I will knit them something nice out of affordable wool and just give it to them as a present.
Of course I only charge non-friends. ^_^
